Lake Michigan Training

Well I'm down to less than three weeks to go now.  Things are beyond crazy trying to get everything in line by the 30th.  This week was very productive.  Despite a hectic work schedule I got the flyers distributed to all the local sponsors:  Get A Grip, Johnny Sprockets, and Vision Quest.  Flyers will go in the mail to Brick Wheels next week.  Hopefully the exposure will increase the awareness and donations for the ride!!

Hotel reservations are made for Escanaba and Epoufette and we have started the plans for a mini Bosman reunion in Holland when I go through there on Friday, September 6th.  My Aunt Terri and Uncle Fred generously agreed to open their doors to me again to stay with them and host a BBQ that night.  I'm already looking forward to that!!

Having a hard time finding a hotel in Milwaukee for the fist night.  I guess there is a Harley Davidson convention or something and literally every hotel is booked.  :(   So we'll see where that goes this week as I keep looking.

Today was a long day of training and another century in the books for the year.  It's funny no matter how many you do that last hour never gets any easier.  Developing quite a set of biker tan lines.  I'll spare the upper body photo but photo and just say that it looks like I'm wearing a permanent white t-shirt all the time with a dark head and arms.

So that's what's going on with the trip.  Donations are already coming in and MANY, MANY thanks to all of you who were kind enough to contribute!!!

Last night my mom Judy was tending bar at the Iowa State Fair and offered all her tips to the ride AMAZING!! Thank you so much!!  Until next time.
